Image
TEA FOR TWO AND PIECE OF CAKE by Preeti Shenoy....A woman's story narrated in the most realistic way....its the story of Nisha who grows up from being a naive innocent girl to a matured independent responsible woman.... It touches our hearts deeply....to be more specific, it would touch every woman's heart.... At certain places, the book gives a feeling of reading our own life... For example: " When one has two small children, one cannot afford the luxury of thinking too much. Each day is a mad rush to simply get the routine chores done " Exactly what i feel with my kids around....I have a daily routine to follow and cant afford to skip one or take the risk of altering or adding a new one....If one goes wrong, the entire day becomes crazy!! Though the tale is melancholic and flooded my eyes with tears more than once, it has a whole lot of positive thoughts weaved into it... Whatever be the situation, there is always a helping hand which saves us from sinking...yo...

When Eyes Speak - Part 2: And the story begins….

“Hello”…..it was mom on the other side…she was furious, deadly furious since I hadn’t been home for the past few months and havent even called her up for the past few days….She had been giving me missed calls and I havent returned the call….It wasn’t intentional…I was working day and night on the research….It was some of those hectic horrid weeks and I had no knowledge of the time……Her stern “hello” was a clear indication of the anger boiling within her…..i tried a quick fix by apologizing before she could begin but it was of no use…..”Hello mom….sorry, couldn’t pick ur calls that day” Do you even know how worried we are Abhi??? Mom, chill ok…..you are getting hyper for a small thing…..I know I should have called you but you cant even imagine what I was going through….. Mom was reiterating her good old advices…..”Sweetheart, why a...

Salt & Pepper

Similar to its catchy different name, the contents of the film is also different....Very refreshing film after a long long time.. A feel good film with a simple and cute story line whose characters are close to reality and exist around us...There are no super stars to raise the star value of the film but still, i would give it a 5 star grading.... The main highlight of the film is that there are greater than life heroes nor brutally bad mad villains... The story rides smoothly on human minds, destiny, unique circumstances in life, the problems which crop up due to those, egos, love, friendship....The film can boast on the different comical dialogs which adds the most required flavor to the film.... Lal excels as the foodie Kalidasan...Shweta menon's best film, i have ever seen.... Baburaj as Kalidasan's expert cook...[a very positive supporting character for the first time, I guess] The scene where Lal finds him and brings him home as his cook is the best comical sequence I ha...
