A tribute to all Mothers.....

Few lines that made me realize what a mother meant....

Before I became a Mother......

I never tolerated things lying wayward around or tried to memorize a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not the mosquitoes were there. I never stayed awake to check if any insects flew around...
I never remembered about immunizations.
I controlled my mind and thoughts completely. I could sleep all night peacefully
I never held a screaming child so that doctors could do checks...or give injections. I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple smile. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
I never got up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into pieces when someone else got hurt. I never knew that something so tiny could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mother. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.

I never knew that a child calling me 'Amma' could lift my spirits so high...I never knew that becoming a mother was nothing less than a miracle.....
I didn't know the feeling of having a part of me outside my body. I didn't know that the bond between a mother and her child was so unique.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the troubles, or the satisfaction of being a Mother. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mother.

Passionate are her sacrifices
Comforting is her lap
Beautiful are her smiles
Colorful are her dreams
Incomparable are her pains
Unconditional is her affection

A mother is far beyond comparisons.....Love your mother and you will find this world beautiful and start loving everything in it!!!.


We are here because our mothers chose to bear the pains to bring us into the world and grow us up as successful and responsible people....So we owe our life to

them....A lifetime is not enough to return their favours...The only thing we can do is to keep them happy always....

I can sense from your words that you are a sweet, caring and loving daughter....and your mother would be happy in your heart!!and thats the greatest tribute to her!!

And from your profile and blog, i can see that you are a sweet mom too!!
all dishes look yummy and i am going to try out some of that for my kids tooo!!

Awesome di,mom's are always soo special,whatever you said is soo true,we children always pester our mom,annoy them,but still they love us soo much and always care for us..love you mom and love you too di,you're fantastic,and im sure you're one of the world best mom <3

Journey to motherhood........

The journey was indeed long & tiring but the thought about the final destination made it memorable. Day 1: We sat in the hospital waiting the result. we were literally killing time and praying for the best to happen. Atlast, the nurse called me and the result was in my hands. She told that it was positive.. i dont know why, i had tears in my eyes, perhaps tears of happiness. I didnt have to tell anything to my parents.. they could read it from my face, from my eyes or may be from my long awaited smile.... Day 2: A second test to recheck and reconfirm....Few tense moments before we knew the result.. our prayers paid off.....A scan was scheduled to ensure that the pregnancy is normal and everything is fine First Scan: I was waiting restlessly outside the scan room. Finally my name was called. I lay on the scan table praying continuosly till the scan doctor said that everything was normal...Then i heard something which pleased my ears even more.
