TEA FOR TWO AND PIECE OF CAKE by Preeti Shenoy....A woman's story narrated in the most realistic way....its the story of Nisha who grows up from being a naive innocent girl to a matured independent responsible woman....




It touches our hearts deeply....to be more specific, it would touch every woman's heart....
At certain places, the book gives a feeling of reading our own life...
For example:

"When one has two small children, one cannot afford the luxury of thinking too much. Each day is a mad rush to simply get the routine chores done"

Exactly what i feel with my kids around....I have a daily routine to follow and cant afford to skip one or take the risk of altering or adding a new one....If one goes wrong, the entire day becomes crazy!!

Though the tale is melancholic and flooded my eyes with tears more than once, it has a whole lot of positive thoughts weaved into it...

Whatever be the situation, there is always a helping hand which saves us from sinking...you only have to keep your head sensible enough to realize and catch hold of it...
Where there is a will, there is always a way...


Women are termed as the weaker sex but the protagonist of this story Nisha proves it wrong....Despite being abandoned by her husband, she is strong at heart and mind and fights against all odds and wins a better life for herself and her 'precious' kids!!

The story drives into us a positive energy, a motivation that even if pain fills our life today, there is always a better tomorrow which would bring a lot of love and happiness into our life...The book ends with such a tomorrow in Nisha's life...

There are lots of Samirs in this world who dump innocent wives like Nisha and her innocent children for a younger, prettier girl....There would be thousands of such Nishas around us! Lets hope and pray that they get their Akash too...

Another great one from Preeti Shenoy, this one is sure to touch your heart and remain with you for many many weeks. The plot is entirely different from "Life is what you..." in the sense that you will relate to this more easily. You will definitely want to finish this is one read.

Journey to motherhood........

The journey was indeed long & tiring but the thought about the final destination made it memorable. Day 1: We sat in the hospital waiting the result. we were literally killing time and praying for the best to happen. Atlast, the nurse called me and the result was in my hands. She told that it was positive.. i dont know why, i had tears in my eyes, perhaps tears of happiness. I didnt have to tell anything to my parents.. they could read it from my face, from my eyes or may be from my long awaited smile....
