Grand Master

Today I saw Grand Master which I totally liked. It was a one of kind suspense thriller and lives up to its tag line "Anything can happen before the next move". It sails smoothly from the start to the climax without a hiccup.
It had the effect of reading a suspense novel.  All moves were near to perfect and bang on!

It was thrilling to watch Mohanlal play his age as the super cop who decodes the opponent moves in advance. His make up deserves definite applause! I mean....komban meeshaiyum, madakki kutthiya mundum onnum illaatha, he looks cool and subdued!



Narain looked dashing and fit smoothly into the role of a police officer. Jagathy Sreekumar plays an important role too. He is different from his usual comical playing the fool character..

Priyamani, Anoop Menon, Babu Antony are the other important characters....

The songs have a "have heard it somewhere already" kind of familiarity touch to it. Akaleyo song stays on our mind for a long time. A cute melody indeed!


Background music is appealing. It does not have a disturbing loud effect to it....

The main highlight of the film is that it is void of the usual blood chilling gory scenes which occur in such murder mystery movies!

An exciting game which is surely worth a watch....I would give it a 4.5 rating on 5!!

Journey to motherhood........

The journey was indeed long & tiring but the thought about the final destination made it memorable. Day 1: We sat in the hospital waiting the result. we were literally killing time and praying for the best to happen. Atlast, the nurse called me and the result was in my hands. She told that it was positive.. i dont know why, i had tears in my eyes, perhaps tears of happiness. I didnt have to tell anything to my parents.. they could read it from my face, from my eyes or may be from my long awaited smile.... Day 2: A second test to recheck and reconfirm....Few tense moments before we knew the result.. our prayers paid off.....A scan was scheduled to ensure that the pregnancy is normal and everything is fine First Scan: I was waiting restlessly outside the scan room.
