Jalthe raho mere pyar mein-Part 2
As always, Riya and Shree went shopping for the party…Shree had to buy clothes that would make him look like a trendy cool DJ…And Riya wanted to look drop dead gorgeous and glamorous!
After trying out a variety of options, she settled for a pure white saree with silver works….She was indeed planning to dress up to kill…

Though Arjun offered to pick her up from home, she plainly refused “no Sir, aapko taqleef karne ki zaroorat nahi hai…..uss hotel ke paas mein City center hai….I will be there at 7PM….wahaan se saath chalenge….”
Arjun just fumed within him for her negative reply and stormed out of the office…..
Riya grinned to herself confusing Shree and Chotu also with her indifferent attitude towards Arjun….They very well knew that Riya had feelings for him but even then she was showing off such an attitude instead of grabbing such a golden chance! Little did they know what Riya’s naughty mind was playing on….
Riya reached the city center with Shree and Chotu at about 7…Her eyes scanned around and stopped at him…She took a few seconds to register his devilishly handsome self…The black suit was only adding to her misery! He looked irresistible today….she wondered how she would keep her eyes under control and stop it from darting back to look at him!
Arjun had arrived 5 minutes earlier and was sporting a look as if he had been waiting for the past 2 hours and that Riya had been unduly late and kept him waiting…
But she didn’t miss his gaze on her….He had looked at her for a moment longer which didn’t go unnoticed by her….”so Mr Rawte gazes too!”she thought to herself with a grin as she walked up next to him….But as she neared him, she realized that it wasn’t a gaze, it was more of a smirk at her much different avatar! She was a bit disappointed at that but she didn’t let it out!
The team split as already planned…..Chotu joined Rathod sir….Shree moved to the band which was to perform at the party leaving behind the couple all to themselves……
“Chalen sir?” she asked in the most formal tone interrupting Arjun’s line of thoughts
Arjun nodded as he walked to the car…
All through the drive, Riya sat silently gazing outside and once in a while, checking her saree and her makeup…..Arjun was silent too and sported a totally uninterested attitude…..Anybody would get an impression that he was doing all this out of compulsion just because of the case demanded it…..meanwhile, Riya too posed a complete professional attitude and never once tried to start a conversation!
Arjun pulled up the car at the portico and passed on the keys for valet parking….
Riya got down and started walking towards the entrance only to be called back by Arjun “Riyaa…rukho”
“yes sir…” she turned back to him,….
Arjun: hum couple bannke jaane waale hai….uss baat ko matth bhoolo….mere saat chalo!
Riya: hmmm…[and tried her best to walk along his side with an occasional glance to his side…His face was stern as always and didn’t even seem to notice her ….she shook her head and fretted to herself “iss aadhmi ko main kya naam dhoom?”]
He showed the passes and entered the party with her…He slid his hand into hers as they had neared the security check point much to her surprise but she didn’t let him know that she was affected by that soft gesture of his…...They walked hand in hand…..
Once in, he harshly shook off her hand from his……and walked ahead into the grand party zone….
His vigilant self taking over from that point of time….he started looking around trying to find out hints related to the purpose for which they were there…
Both of them tried their best to stand with each other and pose as a couple……Guests were pouring in….film stars, stars of the television, media….it looked as if stars from the sky had all descended in one place…..Glitz and glamour flooded all around…..
Riya was no less…..she looked stunning in the white saree….There were prying eyes from all around looking at her….but one glare from the guy who stood next to her was enough to scare them away!
All of a sudden, Arjun heard her let out a squeal “Oh My God REHAAAAAN!”
Arjun turned to her side in shock and enquired in an annoyed voice “kaun?”
Riya answered even without looking at Arjun “Woh Rehaan Kapoor hai! Mera favorite hero….I just love him! usske films maine ek baar nahi dus baar dekha hai!”
Arjun shook his head in total disbelief and in a irritated tone “shaayad ek hi film mein act kiya hoga!”
Riya felt snubbed and turned to him “jalne ke bhoo aa rahi hai! All men envy him! [turning back to Rehaan’s direction] Oh God, kitna handsome hai!…..bilkul waisa hi hai jaisa screen pe dikhtha hai! Aaj toh main usse baat karungi….photo aur autograph bhi loongi!”
She was totally excited….Excitement beaming in her face! But he wasn’t one bit pleased at what she said….
Arjun glared at her “agar tum bhool gayi ho, main tumhe yaad dilaa dhoom, hum yahaan case ke liye aaye hai! “
Riya: [sternly replies back] don’t worry sir, apne duty ko main kabhi nahi bhoolthi….Work always comes first!
Arjun mutters under his breath “na jaane tum ladkiyaan pardhe pe dikhe inn stars mein aisa kya dekhthi ho?
Riya voices dreamily “wahi jo aapko dikhta toh hai par nazar nahi aa raha! He is sooooo..” she stops midway shyly at that and keeps gazing at Rehaan as if lost totally in him ignoring the man beside her completely!…….And that irks Arjun more but he is also confused why Riya affected him so much!
He brushes away all of it and looks away from her acting as if her presence or her gazing at Rehaan didn’t bother him one bit!…..
In a few seconds, Riya steps away from Arjun and stands as if she isn’t with him making Arjun wonder why she did that….he steps closer to her when she hushes to him “aap wahi rukhiye…..Rehaan is coming towards me….woh bohat dher se mujhe dekh raha hai…..I guess he is interested in me….WOWW…I am all excited….agar hum dono saat honge toh usse galat faymi ho jaayegi….plzzz sir..I really wish to spend time with him…..plzzzz” [she pleadingly voiced out]
Arjun shot her a furious look and shook his head meaning “iss bevakoof ladki ko samjhaana mushkil hi nahi na mumkin hai!”
But she was right, Rehaan was eyeing her…..He was glancing at her in between his drinks….his partner for the day had found someone else in the party and he in turn appeared totally floored by Riya’s looks!
Rehaan stepped forward and held out a hand to Riya “hey beautiful…”
Riya rolled her eyes in disbelief and held out her hand at once but she was late by a few seconds….Rehaan’s hand were already locked into another strong hand which was shaking it furiously and giving a tough time to Rehaan’s weak hand.....”aaah” he yelped as he freed his hand from Arjun’s
Rehaan bucked up and posed as if it never hurt and remarked “kya aap dono saat mein hai?”
But before Arjun could reply, Riya responded sarcastically “saat aaye zaroor hai par yahaan saat rehna zaroori nahi hai…You get what I mean, right?” she held out her hand to Rehaan while smirking at Arjun who was already fuming in rage…
Rehaan smiled cheekily and held her hands…..”Why don’t you join me for a dance then? Isi bahaane kuch baatein bhi ho jaayegi!”
Riya smiled and nodded…..”yeah why not?…..waise bhi, mere partner ko dance wance mein interest nahi hai! right Arjun?” [she stresses "Arjun" without the sir inviting more fumes from his side....]
She didn’t wait for his reply but walked away with Rehaan to the dance floor….the dance floor was already rocking with super hot songs and couples swaying to the tunes……Shree was playing the brilliant party numbers and doing a great job there! He showed a thumbs up to Riya as he switched on the next song……
